14500 Li-ion Battery, 3.7V, 3000mAh, AA Size

A 3.7V 3000mAh 14500 Li-ion battery has been announced, in a cylindrical 14 x 50 mm format, designed for devices compatible with 14500 lithium-ion batteries. This rechargeable model reaches a fully charged voltage of 4.2V and should only be used with a compatible charger.

This battery is similar in size to an AA battery, but it is not a replacement for a 1.5V AA battery or a 1.2V AA NiMH rechargeable battery without technical validation. Compatibility depends on the device, the accepted voltage, and the charging circuit.

You must verify that your device is compatible with a 3.6V / 3.7V 14500 lithium-ion battery with a 4.2V charge. A device designed for standard AA batteries may be damaged by excessively high voltage.

Use only a Li-ion-compatible charger. Do not use a NiMH, NiCd, or lead-acid charger, or any other incompatible charger.
